1. What Is ZooKeeper
- It is a distributed coordination service framework that provides distributed data-consistency solutions.
- The consistency here refers to CP in CAP.md. ZooKeeper guarantees eventual consistency, so more precisely, ZooKeeper is actually based on BASE theory.
- It is mainly used to solve data-management problems commonly encountered in distributed applications. It can be used for scenarios such as distributed locks, service registries, and cluster high availability (master election).
