1. BeanFactory and ApplicationContext

BeanFactory is the container that instantiates, configures, and manages Beans.

The ApplicationContext interface extends the BeanFactory interface, so it provides all of BeanFactory’s functionality. It also extends other interfaces, as shown below:

It provides additional features such as easier AOP integration, internationalization, and event propagation.
